Question:

What is the connection of tempo in latin and modern dances?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hmm, Modern as in Standard?

I don't really uderstand the part of the question about the connection, other than you want to dance to music in either case.

Samba and Quickstep both have 50 BPM tempo, if that's what you were looking for.
The next pair closest in tempo is Cha ChaCha (30-31 BPM) and Tango (32 BPM). You can also compare it to Slowfox which is 29 BPM, but Latin and Modern/Standard have very different charachters, so plain tempo comparison doesn't really serve much purpose. You can look up the tempi if you need them om http://www.usistd.org
