Can someone tell me what,s easier to learn iceskating or rollarskating,which is harder to pick up?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I first learned ice skating and then learner roller skating. I'd say roller skating is harder. I find the in-line skates are harder to control even if you have a good quality skates, because the pavement is always uneven and you have to work against it. Ice is much smoother. It is much scarier to fall on the pavement than on ice - the surface is just as hard, but you also get all scratched real bad. You don't get scratched on ice. I fell on ice many times and I never cut myself with the blades - no worries about that. I'd say, go for either one. Just rent the skates or in-line skates and try both.
