If they are old enough to follow simple directions, copy what someone else is doing, listen, focus and keep attention, and maybe memorize a word or two....they are old enought to start ballet. If you'd rather do it just for fun and see how far you can go with it...than its NEVER too late as long as you can stand on your toes. If your trying to decide whether or not you should take up lessons....go for it!
