How can I get my splits and improve my high kicks?

My school's drill team tryouts are comming up in about a month, how can I get my splits in that time? Also, does anyone have any tips for improving dance kicks?


Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: For splits, you cana try bending the front leg and streching the back leg behind you. And also, try grabbing onto to the heel with the oppopsite arm and gently pulling it up. Another way is to do the splits with both legs straight and support yourself with your arms. Slowly go down. Another way is to stretch the front leg in front of you, keeping the knee of your back leg on the floor, and slowly go down. To practice side splits, try doing it against a wall.
