I was just wondering, because I recently got on pointe.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yes it is good. I started in Block Beginner shoes. The toe is very square so it is easier to get up. Other brands like Grishko have a more rounded toe that are harder on beginner's feet. Also Bloch doesn't completely beat your feet up right away. My dance teacher recommends Bloch because she says it helps your ankles get stronger, and that you have more control over the shoe.
