Anyways, one of the most logical ideas around the concept of us having our hair curled is that when irish dancing first originated, it was typically done after church. The girls would have their hair curled and I guess it became a tradition. Curling hair can take a LONG time and it can be a pain to wear those awful spike curlers to bed. Thus, IDers started to wear wigs because they were much more conveniant and looked nice too! |
