Where can I donate used pointe shoes?

I'm a dancer and I live in NYC. At the ABT studios they have a box in the dressing room where you can donate your used pointe shoes. Does anyone know where else I can donate my pointe shoes? I have lots lying around that I can't use anymore. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yes. Many inner city dance schools are always looking for some extra dance shoes whether they be ballet, tap, or jazz. Nyc is a great place...and you can find many studios who would be glad to accept the donation!
