Question:

How to make my arches better in ballet?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Be careful with doing this - I broke my foot in ballet as a result of stretching it out too much.
The safest way to do this is to have a friend push gently on the top of your foot - not on the toes but across the metatarsels (bones connecting to your toes). Have them hold this for about 30 seconds and then switch feet.
Grishko makes a great Elasta-band thing that you can use to strengthen and stretch your feet. They're basically big rubber bands that you wrap around your foot and then use as resistence when you point and flex. (You can get them at discountdance.com or at a dance retail store).
Keep in mind, though, that most dance teachers appreciate STRONGER feet, and over-stretching your feet can make them much weaker.
