Pointe ballet?

im 13 and have been taking ballet for about 6 years. the studio i go to does not focus very much on ballet but all my friends that have taken ballet for as long as me and some not as long that go to a different studio than me are already on pointe. im just as good at ballet as they are. when will i be ready for pointe? my dance teacher told me i had strong ankles but has never mentioned anything about pointe? i dont understand y my some of my friends are already on pointe but im not.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Does your studio have a lot of pointe students? Maybe they don't teach it, that's why. Talk to your instructor and ask what is the reason. You might have to transfer to a different studio.
