Question:

I have a dance convention this weekend. What should I do to stretch and warm up at home?

I don't want to look like a non-flexible idiot. what are some things I can do to stretch out? also, any advice for how to impress the instructors?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It is so easy to do stretching at home. Even before you get up from bed, you can do it. Remember too that when you wake up, your muscles were at rest. Before getting up, they need some stretching too. All you have to do is do it slowly.

1. While lying down stretch your arms.

2. Raise your legs alternately up and down, sidewise too.

3. Raise your legs untill it reached your chest while lying down. Then hug your legs. It will stretch your back. Count 1-20.

4. Get up, and farther stretch your back by bending and reach your toes Count 1 - 20

5. Position, seated sidewaist... legs spread apart... then bend your upper body to your left, trying to reach your left toe. This will stretch your legs and hamstring. Count 1-20. The do the alternate, bend to your right then reach your right toe. Count 1-20.

6. Be seated in squat position. Hold on to your ankles. Rotate them slowly. Then bend your ankles to stretch them.

I hope this will help.
