I would like to know whether some of you even know the dance and it's importance ? It's origin, different styles of different states?

In Tamilnadu it is called Bharathanatyam. Bharathamuni was the founder.
In Andhrapradesh they call it Kuchipudi. There is one village by name Kuchipudi. Sidhendrayogi was the originator.
In orissa it is called Odyssey.
In Kerala they call it Kathakali and Mohiniattam.
Like this there are several dance forms. In olden days artists used to dance in temples.
In all these dances they try to convey the union of Jivatma or soul with Paramatma or God through Nayika and Nayaka Bhava. The humans are heroins and the God is the Hero.
they depict 9 rasas like Hasya, Krodha, Ascharya, Lalitya etc.
