Question:

I"m a half of foot of the floor when I do the splits!!?

Is that good or bad and what can i do

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It is not good or bad, it is just where you are now. Is it in improvement over where you were at a point in the past? Then it is good.
To increase your splits:
1. Don't stretch when you are not good and warm, you will tear a muscle and that will set you back 6 months just to be back where you are now.
2. Stretch after class, a good long stretch when you are hot and sweaty, that is when your muscles are most elastic.
3. And I can't stress this enough. Don't force, push, slam into the splits. Gently ease into it (save the slides for the stage). Hold yourself with your arms and concentrate on RELAXING your hamstring (back of the thigh) on the front leg and quad (front of the thigh) on the back leg.
You want to make ALL of your stretches more effective and really increase your flexability quickly? Concentrate on relaxing the muscle you are trying to stretch. It is hard to do at first but force yourself to really relax any part of your body not supporting something, ie, toes, face, neck. Sounds weird but it WORKS.
