When you grind (dance) how hard do you grind on the boy??

I had a party recently and this boy asked me to dance but I didnt want to beause I didnt want to look stupid and I didnt know how hard to grind so I didnt hurt him. PLEASE DONT TELL ME THAT GRINDING IS DISGUSTING ETC. i just want an answer thanks
