Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: When you say "on flats" do you mean flat foot? I'm not sure how much help I'll be but I'll give it a shot.

Plie in your position (fourth or second I'm presuming) and check your alignment. Is your butt sticking out? Is your back straight? Are you centered in your position?(Particularly fourth). Also, make sure to use those abs; the tighter you pull them in the better chance you have at getting around. Also make sure you pull up your pique high. Leaving it down low will just slow you down. The number one thing to do is spot really fast. The better you spot the more turns you can get in.
