If im stretching to be able to do the splits how long should a stretch per day???


Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well, you need to stretch for at least 30 seconds to actually do any good, but the longer you hold yourself in the splits postion, the better. If you start small, with a minute maybe, and do that everyday you will defintley see an improvement. I know that when I was trying to get my splits, I felt like I wasn't making progress, then all of the sudden I passed a sort of wall and was much more flexible. Also, make sure to warm up before stretching. Jogging in place for a few minutes or so will actually increase your flexibility!
