Anyone collect old books?

i have a leather bound copy of "The Greatest Story ever Told" that the face page says copyright 1949 - is this worth anything or should I just donate it to the library? - the pages are sewn not glued in it - I have several old books , just wondering about what their worth might be before i put them in a yard sale

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Always ask the local librarian if s/he would like books before you put them in a yard sale. If they aren't worth anything, the librarian will be honest.

As a side note, many libraries have book sales during the year and you might want to think of simply donating the books you have to that.
