The Last Recording

On a flight from coast to coast one cold and rainy night
The pilot, o??er the intercom, was sober and polite.
He said, ??Look out the window, not the left side but the right.??
And when we did we saw our crew, with parachutes, in flight.
The pilot??s voice broke in again and told us that on boarding
He??d thought there might be engine failure so he??d made this last recording
To let the people on the plane know what we all should do
If we were left inside the craft without our fearless crew.
He said that we should say our grace and pray we wouldn??t die
And then should bend our heads down low and kiss ourselves goodbye!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I like it. Form good with enough variation to not get too sing songy. It rhymes, always a plus for me. It is original, although I think the last line would be better with "ourselves" replaced with the traditional saying. It's very cute, on a humor scale a 4-5. It made me chuckle. I'm impressed! PS When I read it to my hubby he laughed, guess that humur scale just went up to 5-6.
