Question:

Do Life's greatest blessings flow from madness?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: This is an interesting question. In many ways, yes--the mad abandon that might go into creating a child, for instance; or the insight gained when stepping outside of the norm and doing exactly what the world tells you to not do. Some of the most brilliant people have to let go of the accumulated wisdom of the world in order to be truly free to pursue their thoughts--from that, some great scientific and literary creations emerge. People are considered mad when they step outside of what is acceptable--those who are courageous enough to do so imagine things that the rest of us will never understand. If Van Gogh and Einstein and various other people listened to everyone else and did what was socially acceptable, we would all be missing out. So many great things come from "madness"--which is, in my view, doing what everyone thinks shouldn't or can't be done.
