Dancers, what to you do to stay in top shape?

I need advice from any kind of dancer; what do you do to stay in shape, be more flexible, and just overall be a better dancer? I've just started working out every day this week, and stretching every day, and doing exercises that especially use my legs and work my abs. Every week I want to add at least one goal for myself in exercise, and one in healthier eating. (FYI: I take ballet).


Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Dancing may be THE best excercise. As a young person I danced often. Spent many afternoons on American Bandstand in Philly. Everybody thought that I had been wrking out, like in weight lifting which was really big back then. I wasn't working out. I was "dancin' o the music", as Sly used to sing. I danced often well into my thirties. When I stopped the hard body softened quickly. So, to answer your question, dancers need only to dance to stay in top shape.
