A Good Book For Summer Reading?

My sister's summer reading assignment for entering 9th grade has certain rules the book of her choice must abide by. The book must be published within the last 3 years, not have been made into a movie, have more than 250 pages, be a novel, and be found in the adult section of a library. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: A Million Little Pieces was an awesome book. it contains some adult content though... check oprah's book list! she always has AMAZING books on there!
