"Broken"
There's a little girl
Out within the night,
With tears slipping down her face.
Her heart aches for happiness,
A feeling she knows she can never have
Because her heart has long since been jaded.
There's no place for her to turn,
She's alone now,
And there's no one there to help her,
To answer her cries.
Maybe she just needs a warm embrace,
A second chance,
Or perhaps...
Someone to be her hero.
Broken and fading,
This girl looks to the night sky
For answers she knows
Will never be written among the stars for her to see.
She closes her eyes,
And silently prays
That the days that come
Will be filled with joy and not sadness.
