Whats the name of the masks used in ancient days when blessing dead bodies. long/metal w/incense at the tip?

they sorta look like pyramid-head from silent hill but they were longer, metal, and only went over the nose and mouth. im thinking that maybe they were used in the time period of the salem witch trials and/or somewhere in germany or russsia. Incents were placed at the tips to deoderize the smell of the decaying bodies while priests passed by and blessed them. they also have a lot of holes going down the masks tip.
