Question:

And one for the Three Muscatells...?

Sojourner

I??m on a long
And lonesome journey
Far away, yet far to go
I can??t remember
How long I??ve traveled
I can??t turn round
I can??t go home

The things I??ve seen
The hands, I??ve shaken
Form a chain along the way
From Timor Sea to Oklahoma
Deep blue water
Into thin air

The time has come
For me, to ponder
Where I??ve been
Where I will go
Am I to lead
Am I to follow
Together all
Or all alone

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: man, oh, man, froggy (lights up a ciggy)... methinks you is in the insipid (damn!), incendiary (darn!), yeah, man, yeah, incipient stages of a midwife (damn!), midlife crisis, man...
the road you traveled was your teacher, man, it made you what you are, man... pondering where you have been is like only watching a rearview mirror while driving, may be intellectually rewarding, but ultimately counterproductive... you will only, like run into the future and hurt yourself, man...
so, say thank you to your teacher and be grateful you were given one which you can appreciate and thank... man...

I know what you are saying, man, we often shake hands knowing we will never shake the same hand again, never... sad, but, as Plato has so succulently (damn!) succinctly noted, "life is one damned thing after another"
be grateful for what you were given, from what you said on this humboldt (wrong!), humble platform it is more than most of us will ever see, man...
So, look at the stars, and be grateful, count the waves and listen to what they tell you... and, no matter where you travel, you are never alone, the spirits of countless travellers who preceded you travel with you...

OK, now that we dispensed with peasantries, drop and give me 50... and stop pissing and moaning, you have been blessed, indeed...
