Question:

Where do numbers go when they die?

Pi, the square root of 2, the square root of negative 2, zero, infinity. These are all numbers which are immutable and universal. They seem to exist in a plane outside our material world. We can't directly touch them or interact with them even though we know about them. But how much do we REALLY know about them? In another universe or dimension could they be real and tangible? Could they be alive? Could they be conscious and intelligent? Do they reproduce? Where do they go when they die? Do they come to OUR universe?

"They are only there because we put them there."

Maybe that's what they say about us!

According to classical Platonic math, numbers, points, lines, squares, circles do NOT exist in our material world, they are perfect concepts which only have imperfect representations in our world.
