Question:

I am looking for quotation possibly from Shakespeare that interest is maximum at moment of interruption?

The quotation I'm trying to trace may be from Shakespeare. The characters are watching a play & are interrupted. One of the characters comments that their interest in the play they were watching was maximum at the moment of the interruption. I am trying to trace the quotation

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Although I can barely understand your question the way you've worded it, two instances come to mind. The King and Queen in Hamlet comment on the "Play within the Play" put on by the Players. The other instance is not from Shakespeare and comes from a little-known play by one of Shakespeare's contemporaries. The play is Knight of the Burning Pestle and a husband, wife, and their apprentice interrupt the play that is being given and insert their own tastes on the players. Aside from these two instances, I can't figure out exactly what you're asking about an interest being "maximum" at the point of interruption.
