Question:

Tap dancers please help me out!?

I'm a competitive dance and am just ending for this year. I'm starting to plan out my tap solo for net year and want to put more complicated foot work. I've seen some people do wings while in a toe stand, does anyone know how to do this? if so any pointers? and any other hard steps that win! (I'm working on my quatruple pirouette, fourettes, and turns in a la seconde)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: first, turns are good in tap dances but just make sure you dont put in to many.

for wings on your toes:
hold on to a bar or something to practice
do a single toe stand and bend your knees in plea
brush out like a normal wing
instead of spanking in with the balls of your feet brush with the tips of your toes and land in a toe stand again in plea

another step are shuggybops, i have absolutely no clue how to spell them so i can't find a video.

also try shuffle pull back combinations including minary steps. dont know how to spell that either.

if your teacher knows these steps and can teach you, you are sure to impress the judges. if all else fails stick with what you know and do it faster and cleaner
