Question:

" The Myth of Sisyphus " .. Please help.?

I can't understand why Sisyphus was so happy? What's the purpose behind all that happiness?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It is a metaphor for the difficulty of human life. Rather than becoming hopeless or despondent, Sisyphus put his shoulder to the task and engaged with it fully. He embraced life for what it was. It has to do with the notion of acceptance of the absurd situation we find ourselves in this life (in a universe indifferent to us where any meaning we have to create for ourselves).

From Wikipedia:
Camus argues that Sisyphus is truly happy precisely because the futility of his task is beyond doubt: the certainty of Sisyphus' fate frees him to recognize the absurdity of his plight and to carry out his actions with contented acceptance, which Camus argues to be a form of true happiness.
