Yahoo homepages next Harry Potter-like book?

A little while ago on Yahoo's homepage there was a section about some new books that could be the next big series. I can't remember much about it I think there was a 13 or 14 year old boy who had to do with archaeology or something(could be completely wrong). I remember whoever wrote the article said when he read the first page he got the same feeling he did when he read the first page of Harry Potter and said it could have similar success. If anyone knows this book can you please tell me? Also it may take place in or be written in London or somewhere in that area. Thanks in advance
