How do you copyright a webcomic?

I am going to start a webcomic shortly but am running into a problem. How exactly do you copyright a webcomic or can you even copy right it?

Read this. I see this almost everywhere, and I'm very glad to know people are so dedicated to their work they would want to make sure credit goes to the right people.
