In chapter 4 what is the real reason the white men are "riding"? T.J tells the Logan children but i don't remember what he told them.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It's been a long time since I read this and I don't have any copy to access. Here's something you could try:

Go to Amazon.com and search for this book. On the product description page there may be a link under the book's picture which reads, "Search in this book." Click on it and then type a phrase you are looking for - like white men riding. It will list places in the book this appears - click on the one that you think is closest to chapter 4 because I think you only get one chance - they don't want you reading the whole book. Of course if this isn't an option, I say google and try for a study guide. I'm sure there's lots of teacher material out there on this title.

I know white men "riding" reminds me of KKK and their raids. I'm just trying to remember if that's what is being referred to here. It's a great book - I may have to check it out again.
