What is the definite definition of a commercial and a theatrical actor?

What is the definite definition of a commercial and a theatrical actor?

I thought that a commercial actor was an actor who did film and television and that a theatrical actor did, well, theater. I read different things on this and so now I'm confused. I thought I knew, as stated above but from what I've been reading lately... I don't know. Thanks all! : )

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: In La Industry - Speak, "Theatrical" means someone who does films and television. Commercial is someone who does commercials.

Many actors in LA who have never been in the theater have both theatrical and commercial agents.
