Would acting in a movie like American Girl be a blessing or a curse?

I am debating auditioning for the next American Girl movie. But I've thought that that might be a mistake. Help?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I would think that any acting experience, especially in film, just gives you more experience and to list on a resume or bio. If you like the part you want to audition for and you would enjoy it or it would stretch your current acting ability and help you grow - than that's what it's all about. If you want the part, go for it. I don't see how it could ruin anything. The only way it could be a 'curse' as you put it would be if you've played a bunch of similar roles and are concerned about being type cast.
