Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I do not believe Harry is a horcrux. The whole point of creating a horcrux is to store part of your soul so that you may be immortal. Storing a piece of soul in an object that has an average life span of only 76 years (that doesn't even take into account accidents and illnesses that could shorten that span greatly) would be a waste. The idea of horcruxes is to use vessels that will be available whenever you need them to reanimate you. The human vessel, is too impermenant to be effective in this manner. Voldemort was evil, but not stupid. I think he really was trying to kill Harry.

The argument against this is that Nagini seems to be a horcrux, and since snakes have much shorter life spans than humans, why couldn't Harry be a horcrux if Nagini's one. There are many reasons why this can be so, but the gist is that Nagini is a temporary horcrux, an emergency plan if things go horribly wrong. Also, she seems to be a fairly recent horcrux. This makes sense when you think of her as a back up plan. After all, the other horcruxes have been spread around or destroyed, and it would take time for Voldemort to find what's left of them. Having Nagini close at hand garrauntees that Voldemort will be able to come back relatively quickly if neccessary. I think Voldemort, at this point, is willing to lose the bit of soul in her, eventually, in order make sure that he has this emergency plan while he is fighting Harry. I don't think he would have been willing to do the same when he was at the height of his power, when he felt that he could not be defeated. Even now, though, when he acknowledges that there is a chance for failure (by creating the Nagini horcrux) he doesn't truly believe he can fail. Otherwise he would make sure he knew where all of his horcruxes were and have them close before he resumed his quest. This is Voldemort's biggest weakness. His complete arrogance and belief in his own infalibility.
