Question:

Which contemporary architect was influenced by Pierre Koenig?

Pierre Koenig is the architect of the Stahl House (Case Study House #22), the most photographed house in the world... if I'm not mistaken it has also been in the most movies. I need to know WHO was influenced by Koenig.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: According to James Steele (author of perhaps the best book about Pierre Koenig's work), one contemporary architect strongly influenced by Pierre Koenig and the Case Study Group is Thom Mayne.

Thom Mayne's sole-practice firm, Morphosis, designed a number of innovative buidlings in Southern California, including Kate Mantilini's restaurant in Beverly Hills; the 72 Market Street Restaurant in Venice; and the Science Museum School in Exposition Park.

Steele says: "Morphosis relates to the Case Study group, but they won't admit it." To support this contention, Steele points to Morphosis' intensive use of high technology in its designs.
