Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Actually Wordworth believed that poetry was "emotion recollected in tranquility" Wordsworth wasnt all that spontaneous since he tinkered with his epic autobiographical poem "The Prelude" for decades. So there is an element of outpouring and an element of poetic craft in his work. Some of his earlier, shorter poems like On Westminster Bridge look like spontaneous outpourings because they describe the emotion of a moment but ask yourself how much poetical craft goes in to giving that impression. |
