Question:

Purchase agreement between author and sellers? Please help!?

A lady who wants to sell my book in her store wants me to come up with some type of a purchase agreement between her and I- something we both sign and agree to. She also wants me to include on this that if she buys 10 books she gets a disocunt price of some sort- or a % taken off her bill. This is my first book and I already have requests for them but can not do anything without drawing up some type of purchase agreement! This contract should be something I can use for other sellers as well.

Where do I find such info. or contracts on-line and/or is anyone eperienced enough in the matter to help me out here in what it should say so that I am not hurting myself later?

Thank you in advanced for any help you may be able to give me on the subject.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You need to talk with a business paralegal for guidelines. Do you have the book priced all ready?

One option is to sell on consignment, the seller gets a set per cent on each book that is sold plus a small fee for shelf space.
The other option is that the seller buys your books outright and then is allowed to put her own price on them.
