Poem: Paper Men (let me know what you think)?
I'd appreciate any feedback.
Paper Men
We live under the tyranny
of paper men
with paper dreams;
the soulless who dwell among us.
folding us into their fear.
They care for nothing beyond security.
They are nine-to-five.
They are three-square-meals.
They are Volvos.
They are credit card bills and overtime.
They are trapped.
Still, not content;
until, all are made to step to their steps,
and dance to their bloodless tune. All
voices becoming hollow echoes of their own,
a sad choir crying out for the flame.

Miss Moncrieff, I assure you I don't take things like this the wrong way. I do appreciate your feedback--thank you for taking the time to stop by.
