She was definetely in the top 50 most influential people according to the vote, she has made millions of people enjoy reading, there is a HP theme park under development in the Islands of Adventure, countless books about her books have been made, some becoming bestsellers, there will be many HP conventions all around the world this summer, she has sued eBay a lot of money because they were selling loads of fake JKR signatures, and other things. Do you think she has made enough of an impact to make some day 'Harry Potter Day'? These books are the most popular books in history (according to the Guinness World Records), with the exception of the Bible.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I think Rowling has quite a bit of influence over the world currently. Wouldn't it be absolutely ridiculous if Harry Potter died in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and because of that, people started killing themselves or going into deep depressions? I think that is when we would know just how much impact a book can have over the world. I bet that if J.K. Rowling demanded certain things before the next installment would arrive, said tasks would be completed without hesitation. I think Rowling has readers whipped.
