Question:

Who can tell me about their most interesting experience with a black and white portrait photo?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The most interesting would be when I was in college (I didn't start until I was 29 yrs.) and I took photos of my daughter and took her into the darkroom after I had developed the film. We had used black and white film so that I could develop in the darkroom myself. I find that doing my own darkrrom work is so fantastic. After figuring out which photo I wanted I was showing my daughter how to take the negative, line it up on paper, etc. When it came time to develop in the developing fluids, my daughter again was right there. (she was 7 yrs) To see her face as I put a blank sheet of paper into the developing fluid and she was able to see a photo of herself, develop from photo film that were taken only a couple of hours before, was priceless. She got the biggest smile and shock to see herself come up on what looked to be blank paper. It was something else. I would loved to have got THAT expression on film.
