Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Voldemort has to die, that is the big pay-off after all. Don't think Harry will survive intact. He will probably live, but there be emotinal as well as physical scars for him to deal with. This will likely involve the death of one of his friends, either Ron or Ginny Weasley.

McGonagall will be the new Head, Hagrid will be Head of Gryffindor, and Scrimgeour will resume his former position as Head of Slytherin. No surprises to any of these I think.

What interests me having re-read the last book again over the weekend, is the importance of RAB, the mysterious individual who left the note in the fake horcrux. I think that, once Harry tracks him down, he may well prove to be a valuable ally.

Whatever happens, it will be good to finally reach the end of this saga. Only 16 1/2 days to find out.
