Question:

Out of personal experience, what is the best way (/website) to find out about open acting auditions?

For normal auditions like comercials that go on tv, is that disney audition site think really work? Also who is a good agent/agency?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: In Britain, jobs are advertised in The Stage, as the industry's newspaper (weekly on Thursdays) (also on their website).

There is the publication Professional Casting Report which you have to subscribe to, for 6 months, say.

You can learn of opportunities from other actors, eg via an Equity branch (these meet monthly).

Actors' co-operative agencies are an increasingly popular way of performers getting work for each other. You all put one day a week in at the co-op office, on a rota, when you are not working.

As an individual, you can advertise yourself in Spotlight with a photograph and if your face fits, they contact you about auditioning for them. Casting Directors regularly consult Spotlight as part of their trawl for talent.
