Have i got distant scots ancestry --or am i just silly?

i`ve been watching coast and other programmes like it and whenever scotland is on i have a twinge inside and feel close to scotland . i am of welsh descent of which i am proud but could there be a possibility i may also have some scots in me too> this twinge has happened a few times now . i guess i will never know for sure but if it is possible i will be happy! also , a teacher at college told me my surname --webster -- is irish for weaver . is there anything in that too?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: A fact that people of the countries you mentioned don't like to admit.There is no such thing as a pure,one descent person or race.The people of Scotland,Wales,Ireland and England have all been in such close contact with each other,thru war,trade,or just passage that it is a given and only natural that a man and a women from different countries would,'to put it nicely" have unions.The Royal familyof England are actually of German descent.I cannot tell you that you have Scottish roots somewhere in you lineage but,the chances are very high.I am of Scottish lineage but,my last name,Cooper,is both English and German,with it's meaning in both countries being "barrel maker" I sincerely hope this answer help's you.
