Question:

In what ways did President Truman's airlift support the foreign policy of containment?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I assume you are asking about the BERLIN Airlift.. (GOD, but I wish AmeriKans could use entire words to describe what they mean)

West Berlin was totally surrounded by the U.S.S.R. and was being strangled by a total lack of everything needed to live. If Russia had been successful in bringing WEST Berlin under their control, it would have been a huge PR plum for them and changed the dynamics of the region and, could have ended the containment policies of the U.S.
