Any other Salman Rushdie fans?

On Religion & Spirituality, a lot of people are asking about why Salman Rushdie is deserving of knighthood, etc. I say that anyone who has read "The Ground Beneath Her Feet" knows why. "The Satanic Verses" isn't even close to being Rushdie's best work - I couldn't even finish it. But does anyone else love "The Ground Beneath Her Feet?"

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I agree with you: "The Satanic Verses" is far from being his best work. I really liked "The Ground Beneath Her Feet", but my favorite is "Midnight's Children". I think Salman Rushdie is overdue a Nobel Prize. Sometimes I wonder that he was not given one because of all the commotion it would cause.
