Can someone please help me with Bryce 5.5?

Yeah, i like the program and everything, but it seems to me that it is fairy limited. You can't make anything but simple figures and landscapes. If someone knows how to make, say, some sort of fantastical creature, or even just a regular animal, or anything but primitive shapes and rocks and trees, please tell me how or direct me to a site where i can learn. Please, but i'll continue to experiment in the meantime.
