Question:

Acting agent ?

i am trying to get a collage fund so i thought that maybe acting would be a good idea. not a big actor, a small one. some commericals here and there maybe even a small role in a movie. do i need an agent for that? if so how do i get one? do they ecept people with no experince? since i have no experince what should i do to start of? sorry for all the questions. thanks!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you're really serious about acting, you'll forget about getting an agent right now and start where you should: get some training. Go to class. Get into a school. Learn the craft of acting. That should be your number one priority.

Your acting career will be short-lived if you put the cart before the horse. It will be difficult for you to get a GOOD agent, if you can't act. And even if you do get an agent, you might find yourself not being sent out much on auditions. Or, the reverse side of it is, that you will get sent out a lot in the beginning and then when casting directors see that you are not trained, they will kindly ask the agent not to send you anymore.

Do yourself a big, big favor. First decide if that is really what you want to do and while you're thinking about it, start training.
If you want to know what it will take to become an actor, I have created an ebooklet that you can download for free on my site: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com... .

Go to school first. That's a better discussion to have with your parents. It will show them also that you are serious.
