Question:

What can I expect from Drama(high school class)?

I'm so excited for this class!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If it's anything like the one at my high school, you'll probably be introduced to improvisation games (like things that you'd see on 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?'; unscripted games/scenes that you come up with on the spot) and scenework. For scenework, you'll probably get to choose a partner or two and look for a scene that you will memorize and perform -- usually, your teacher will have a bunch of scenebooks and plays that you can look through to find one. Chances are that you will do a monologue for your final(s), either one you write yourself, or one that you find online or in a monologue book/script. Have fun, and don't get discouraged if you're not one of the immediate best actors; I'm in the Advanced class at my school now and most of the really good ones are the ones who were hardly noticeable (or even bad) in their first year. Always strive to improve!
