Hello,

I have been searching for the name of this book for at least 15 yrs.

It's a teenage fiction book with the plot something like this:

A boy and his father run a guide service in Alaska. The boy gets into trouble for flying w/ a passengers. Somehow the boy (maybe his father too, I can't remember) have an emergency and they land the plane in a lake that's too small to take off again. They have to dig channels between two small lakes to take off.

I have been searching far and wide for this book.
