Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I think the only difference is the front cover. The adult version has a more respectible and serious cover, whereas the children's version has a more welcoming and friendly cover. I am going into the 11th grade and I have read the whole Harry Potter book series in the childrens' version! Hope I helped! xxx
