Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I think you may have left out a word... "Are Buddhists affected?" is what I think you mean. The answer is : Yes. Hinduism is largely in part responsible for the fact that Buddhism is not practised in India as widely as it used to be. This website explains it much more in depth. Note that Hindus are not solely responsible for the driving out of Buddhism in India, but they were a big part of it. Do not become confused and think that Buddhism is not practised today, it enjoys a strong following in the Oriental portions of Asia.
